Joanna is a member of Carlyle Kingswood Global’s Asia Legal team. She specialises in law firm legal recruitment across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and the wider Asia region, with additional experience supporting international searches involving the US market.

With more than a decade of legal recruitment experience, Joanna has completed hundreds of lawyer placements across the region. She advises leading international and Chinese law firms on appointments from associate through to partner level and also works with financial institutions, multinational companies and high-growth businesses on senior in-house legal and compliance mandates.

​

Joanna has an extensive track record of placing lawyers with leading US, UK, European, Chinese and offshore law firms across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and the wider Asia region. Her experience spans a broad range of practice areas, including corporate/M&A, capital markets, private equity, investment funds, banking and finance, regulatory, investigations, intellectual property and technology, as well as other specialist practices.

Prior to joining Carlyle Kingswood Global, Joanna held senior leadership positions with several established legal recruitment businesses, including responsibility for leading both Asia-wide legal recruitment and China-focused private practice search.

​

Joanna graduated from the National University of Singapore and is bilingual in Mandarin and English.
